In a form, reminiscent of a children’s math workbook, “Solve for Black” is a short 18-page satirical artist book that (case cover pamphlet stitch booklet) explores the topic of what it means to be black in America. Using fictional “Pseudo-math” “Solve for Black” literally attempts to define blackness through mathematical equations.
